Rajeev Masand of "News18" gave it 3 stars out of 5 and said, ""Befikre" is an escapist film that makes you want to leave the real world behind". Saibal Chatterjee of NDTV was also average in his review remarking, "An interesting premise is undermined by a tackiness that creeps in with each passing sequence." Subhash K. Jha gave it 2 stars out of 5 and said, ""Befikre" is so superficial. This love story is virtually without heart. The script wants to capture the spirit of the city of love but can't find it".
